Could you support your colleagues in PR and communications in local public services? The CIPR’s Local Public Services Group wants to hear from you. It is recruiting for its committee for the coming year and is looking for active practitioners interested in sharing and developing professional development, contributing to understanding in the field, and able to contribute ideas and skills to its programmes and campaigns.
Chair of the CIPR LPS Group, Claire Melia-Tompkins, said: “We are looking for people who are passionate about public sector PR/ communications and who can commit some time to helping the CIPR Local Public Services Group to develop resources, events and services to help support those working in the sector.
“You can be at any stage of your career and working at any level or in or supporting any public service. You do need to be a CIPR member, able to commit some time, come to some face to face meetings and join teleconferences.”
She added: “In return you will get CPD points, meet some interesting people, do some exciting work, network with top PR folk, access events and add to your CV.”
